STEAM Day

Service Description

FRIDAYS | 09:00–15:00 STEAM: SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, ART & MATHEMATICS Fridays at Heartfield are all about curiosity, creativity, discovery and bringing ideas to life! Our STEAM programme brings together science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics through ambitious, hands-on projects that encourage young people to explore, experiment, design, build and create. Throughout the day, young people have opportunities to immerse themselves in both scientific investigations and substantial creative art projects. In our science and engineering sessions, current projects include Bright Ideas, exploring electricity, circuits, light and invention, and Musical Science, investigating the fascinating connections between sound, music, physics and creativity. Alongside these, Jez leads exciting art projects in both the morning and afternoon, giving young people opportunities to explore different materials, techniques and creative approaches. From developing an initial idea to producing a finished piece, the emphasis is on imagination, experimentation, artistic expression and the satisfaction of creating something of their own. Whether they're investigating a scientific mystery, testing an invention, experimenting with artistic techniques or working on an ambitious creative project, our young people are encouraged to think independently, collaborate and embrace the unexpected. We believe that some of the most powerful learning happens through doing, discovering and sometimes getting things wrong! Our small, supportive groups give everyone the freedom to explore their interests, develop new skills and grow in confidence. FEES Our fees are spread over 10 monthly payments, September to June. 1 day per week: £240 per month 2 days per week: £480 per month 3 days per week: £720 per month INTERESTED IN JOINING US?
